Playing on a Playstation Controller with Maple Story

For those of you tired of using keyboards for PC games, there is a way to convert a PSX controller into a USB device. Here is the info I found.

Device used to convert a PSX to USB to use on a PC sold at Radio Shack
PSX to USB

Software key mapper that maps to joystick or PSX controller. Be sure to select the english version.
Joy To Key

I had a microsoft joy stick and it was hard playing maple with it. The draw back about a USB pc controller is it has less buttons. You still need the keyboard for important button commands like using potions. I'll try to post my button keys for all of the 4 characters types I play with.

I'll post the cleric first because it is my primary character.

Comments about my configuration:
The reason you want "Joy to Key" to follow as much the keyboard keys as much as possible is you have to start chatting with other players and still move your character around. The controller just makes it easier to use the most used keys on your keyboard.

You may want to move any command you use alot away from the shift key because windows will pop up an error about sticking keys and might minimize Maple Story. When I use my controller, I place "HOLY ARROW" on shift. When I switch from controller to keyboard, I move "HOLY ARROW" onto 'Insert'.

A magician's movement is limited in the beginning, but once you add some skill points to "TELEPORT", its a whole new ball game. I use to place the "TELEPORT" on T on the keyboard, but now I use it alot and placed it on the delete key. On the playstation controller, its on L1. It feels like a trigger button firing "TELEPORT." It is best to have "TELEPORT" with your left hand because that is where the keypad is for the controller ( See playstation controller above number 1). In general, the teleport commands would be on the playstation controller like this:

Teleport up: UP + L1
Teleport down: DOWN + L1
Teleport left or right: LEFT + L1 or RIGHT + L1
